Hi all,

Does anyone know if one of the pre-SP1 Windows 2003 MS hotfixes keeps ICA KeepAlives from working? I know that SP1 keeps ICA KeepAlives from working, which is one of the reasons why I haven't installed SP1.

I've recently upgraded our farm from Windows 2000 SP4 FR3/SP3 to Windows 2003 (no SP1) FR3/SP4 and it seems that ICA KeepAlives aren't functioning. I'm using the CMC Farm Settings to set these (which match the ICA KeepAlive registry values they should have, but I did not create those registry values). WAN clients disconnect frequently after 5-15 minutes of inactivity, and I'm using the same Windows 2000 HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters as the servers did before:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
"TcpMaxDataRetransmissions"=dword:0000000a
"TcpMaxConnectRetransmissions"=dword:00000003
"KeepAliveInterval"=dword:000003e8
"KeepAliveTime"=dword:0000ea60

I've installed the following Microsoft Windows 2003 hotfixes (everything current as of today 7/6/2005 except SP1):

Confirm this registry setting has been made after you configure ICAKEEPALIVES in the CMC.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Citrix
"IcaEnableKeepAlive"=dword:00000001
"IcaKeepAliveInterval"=dword:0000003c
